Housewife body recovered in Banasree

Police have recovered the body of a housewife from a residence at Banasree in the city. The housewife was found dead with hands tied from the back and neck tied with a piece of cloth.

The body was recovered from the sixth floor residence of house no. 34 on road no. 4 of Block-C at Banasree in city’ Rampura on Sunday night (October 08).

Police, however, detained husband of the housewife, Rasel, 27, for interrogation.

The deceased was identified as Jannatul Bushra Sumona, 25. She married to Rasel in 2013. Sumona used to live with her husband in the residence.

Rasel said that he found her wife’s body with hands tied from back and neck tied with a piece of cloth after he entered residence at about 9:00 pm. He, however, said that an unidentified youth fled the residence just after he entered the residence.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Rampura police station Proly Kuma told Banglanews that the body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy. The victim husband claimed that the unidentified youth killed Sumona.
