Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday (April 11) said that quota system in the public service government job recruitment will be no more and thus the country will not witness repeated movement over quota reformation.

Sheikh Hasina made the development while replying to a question of Dhaka lawmaker Jahangir Kabir Nanok in the parliament session.

The prime minister slammed the students who humiliated the VC of DU in name of demonstration and carrying out vandalism at the residence of Dhaka University (DU).

The students have to find out the attackers of VC residence vandalism, she said. She further added that the attackers must have to face trial.

She scorned the protesting students for causing public suffering by staging demonstrations over quota reformation.

Sheikh Hasina also cited how much she honors her teachers while she was lambasting the students about their manners.

However, students of different universities across the country including public and private staged demonstration programs as the protest entered fourth day Wednesday.

They earlier announced to leave the street once they get final nod from the premier.
