Tk 2 crores for Tigresses

The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Monday that they would distribute Tk two Crores as prize money for the triumphant national women team who won Asia Cup Twenty20 tournament.
The announcement came in front of the victorious women cricketers who entered their name in the history book by winning the maiden trophy by beating India, six times champions.
I cannot describe in words the amount of joy we had by seeing them perform in this manner,” BCB president Nazmul Hasan told reporters standing alongside women cricketers. ”They had worked really hard and their effort need to be recognized so we have decided to distribute Taka Two crores as prize money for the team,” he said.
The prize is expected to be a huge financial boost-up for the women cricketers who apparently comes from a poor financial background. ”Naturally it is a big incentives,” Salma Khatun told Cricbuzz when her attention was drawn regarding the prize money.
It will not only boost our image but this kind of recognition will help the development of women cricket in the country,” she said,Shri Biren Sikder, minister for youth and sports, declared that they would create an dedicated academy for the women team,We are proud with their performance,” said Biren.
We would create a dedicated academy for the women cricketers,’ Biren added.Though he did not mention where it will be situated and when it will be handed over to the women team.
