Immediately after returning home from Canada, Prime Minister Minister Sheikh Hasina asked Obaidul Quder about the condition of the highways as the rush of holidaymakers soaring high ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr.

“The Prime Minister asked me after returning home at the midnight that what is the condition of highways? I have said it is better than any preceding time. There is no traffic jam. The eid-journey of the home-bound people is comfortable than the past”, the minister for road transport & bridges thus quoted the premier.

He was talking to the reporters while inspecting the traffic conditions at Gabtali Inter-district Bus Terminal Wednesday morning (June 13).

“I have enquired all the counters. They said there is no traffic jam on the highways till now. It has become possible due to hold meeting at the grass-root level”, Quader said further.

However, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home Tuesday night (June 12) wrapping up her four-day official visit to Canada to attend the outreach session of G7 Summit.

The flight of Emirates Airlines carrying the premier and her entourage members landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:20 pm.
