Woman, daughter hacked to death

Police recovered the bodies of a woman and her seven-year-old daughter from a house at Borgola Tinpatti area of Bogura district town on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Rubaiya, 28, and her daughter Sumaiya. Rubaiya’s husband Yusuf Ali is an expatriate living in Saudi Arabia.
Neighbours said they found the boold-stained bodies lying on the floor of their home this morning.
Bogura Sadar Police Station OC Badiuzzaman said being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue.
Police believe the two were hacked to death with sharp weapons.
“An initial investigation suggests the two were hacked to death with a sharp weapon at some point last night,” said OC Badiuzzaman, reports bdnews24.com.
Neither police nor the relatives of the victims have any leads as to who committed the murders.
Rubaiya’s father Abdul Hamid said that his daughter and granddaughter lived alone at the home.
We do not know who could have done this, he said.
