PM honored Islami scholars: IF governor

The Prime Minister has honored the Islamic scholars by giving equal status of Dawra certificate to the Masters degree.

Islamic Foundation (IF) Governor Meshbahur Rahman said this while addressing a discussion arranged by the United Islamic Scholars Forum at the National Press Club here today.

“Giving recognition to the Kawmi Madrasha certificate, the Prime Minister has showed honour to Islamic scholars….We are praying for her that the Almighty may give her the highest honour,” he said.

Major General (retd) A TM Abdul Wahab MP inaugurated the programme while Mawlana Quari Habibullah Belali spoke at the discussion as the chief discussant.

“We and our families will pray for her ….May the almighty bring her again to the power of the country,” he said, adding that we will vote for the Awami League so that the party again can come to power to finish its incomplete works.

She had started work to establish 560 model mosques for preaching Islam, he said, adding even she had founded 1,010 Darul Arkan Ibtedayee Madrashas.

Foundation of a separate Arabic University has also been materialized by the premier, he added.

Chaired by Allama Ruhul Amin Khan Uzani, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by Khelafat Movement Amir Mawlana Hafez Ataullah, Mawlana Mohammad Abdur Razzak, Mufti Nur Hossain Nurani, Dr Mawlana Hafez Irfan Bin Torab Ali, Dr Muhammad Younus, Mawlana Mohammad Kamal Hossain, Mawlana Nurul Islam Khan, Mawlana Abdul Khaleque Shariatpuri, Ahsanul Hadi, Abdul Momen, Professor Shaikh Usman Goni, Mawlana Delwar Hossain, Mawlana Mufti Atiqur Rahman, Zawhar Iqbal Khan, Mufti Abu Yousuf Ghaohari, Maruf Billah and Selim-e Ahmad.
