No drone flying in Dhaka’s sky without permission

Drone flying in capital Dhaka’s sky has been banned without permission of appropriate authorities.
The ban was disclosed at a press release signed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police or DMP commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia said on Tuesday.
DMP deputy commissioner Obaidur Rahman Shameem confirmed the matter, reports a Bangla online news portal.
The press release said recently it has been spotted that several people or groups fly different kinds of drone for entertainment or capturing photo or unknown reason, without taking permission from appropriate authorities.
Civil Aviation of Bangladesh reserves the right to permit to fly any types of drone. Flying drone without permission of authorities is an offense as per law, the press release read.
Besides, drone flying has been prohibited in Dhaka Metropolitan area as its flying without permission may create disruption in public security, inlucing panic among people, said the press release.
A DMP official said drone flying has been banned as part of carefulness as detectives have information that various anti government groups and militant organizations may try to create anarchy centering the month August.
