Attack on Hindus: Nasirnagar AL leader placed on 2-day remand

A Brahmanbaria court today placed a local Awami League leader on a two-day remand over attacks on Nasirnagar Hindu community in Nasirnagar upazila of the district.

Md Shafiqul Islam, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of  Brahmanbaria court passed the order when police produced Suruj Ali, who was recently suspended from the president post of Chapartola Union Awami League, before the court with a seven-day remand prayer

Suruj was an alleged key instigator of the attack that took place on October 30.

At least eight cases were filed in connection with the attack. Police arrested 107 people over the attack.
