BD national held in Malaysia for foeticide

A Malaysian court has sent a Bangladesh national to jail in connection with foeticide.

The Kuala Lumpur Magistrate Court also asked police to produce the man before it on August 3.

Police have arrested the man, M Masud Rana,29, from Kuala Lampur. But, police did nt reveal the details of the arrested person.

Malaysia’s largest circulating newspaper Harian Metro published the news in its online version on Tuesday.

The report said Masud Rana pleaded no guilty.

Earlier on June 25, the man dumped a six-month foetus in a jungle in Kawasan Perindustrian Merdeka area. Police, then, arrested Masud as he did not give satisfactory answer in this regard.

The report also said that charges have been framed againt Masud under Section 318 of the Penal Code.

He will have to serve two years’ imprisonment or fine or get both awards.
