Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladeshi world famous allrounder, returned home from the USA at early hours of Wednesday, after over months.

The Bangladeshi stalwart boarded a Bangladesh-bound flight early Tuesday (Bangladesh time) from New York and reached Dhaka at 2:50am as the flight made 50 hours delay.

From the airport Shakib went to his Banani residence.

He will undergo a COVID-19 test today upon his return and move to BKSP to join an individual fitness and training programme if he tests negative. Otherwise, he will go for isolation at home.

Shakib decided to practise at BKSP so that he can get help from his favourite coaches — Nazmul Abedin Fahim and Mohammad Salahuddin –who will help Shakib prepare for his comeback.

He went to the USA in March this year to join his wife who was then expecting a baby. Shakib’s wife, Umme Ahmed Shishir, gave birth to their second daughter in April.

The 33-year-old allrounder has been serving a two-year-long ban, with one year suspended, due to failing to report corrupt approaches made to him.

He is expected to return to play cricket on October 29 this year as his suspension period will end on October 28.
