COVID-19 deaths reach 4,479 in Bangladesh

The country’s fatality number from COVID-19 rose to 4,479 with 32 more deaths in last 24 hours.

Of the deceased, 25 were male while seven were female. Twenty-nine died at different hospitals while three at home, says the press release.

The positive cases surged to 3,25,157 after detecting 1,592 new cases from 11,354 samples, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed on Sunday afternoon.

It also informed 3,423 recoveries in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered patients to 2,21,275.

Total 92 labs are conducting corona test across the country.

The country reported its first coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
